Begin your jungle adventure as you are greeted at your accommodation in Chiang Ma by our guide and driver team. From your hotel or guesthouse, you will start your drive towards the area of Chiang Dao in the mountains north of Chiang Mai. Your guide will require making a stop at a local market in order to get a few supplies. After this, we will resume the drive and reach the Chiang Dao district. You will be dropped off at the hiking start point from where your guide will escort you on the first hiking leg of the tour. It would a great idea to be well rested because the first day will prove to be challenging; it involves many demanding up hill walks as we must get to a remote Lahu hill tribe village located higher up the mountain. Upon our arrival, you may rest at our accommodation or visit the village and even meet some locals. Dinner will be taken care of by your guide. Enjoy a well-deserved meal and a relaxing evening amidst this fantastic natural setting.
Local village Lahu House
Wake up as the sun begins its rise above the forest and take in the surrounding beauty. We will have breakfast in the village and then embark on a full trekking day.We will trek through pristine areas characterize by lush and dense vegetation in untouched condition. If you feel tired, we will stop and rest. Our trek will lead us to a lovely waterfall tucked in the middle of the forest. Here, enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool waters and also have a well deserved lunch. Our last destination for the day will be the Mae Mae Shan Village, where we will stay overnight at the one-of-a-kind Tree House Village. This is an accommodation type house that was constructed by the local Shan villagers from bamboo and timber. One visually interesting feature of this structure is that it hugs the side of a hill and therefore affords stunning views of the forested valley stretching below. We will arrive at Mae Mae Shan Village late in the afternoon; you will still have time to explore this Shan hill tribe village if your wish or simply rest at the tree house if you feel too tired. Dinner preparations will the responsibility of your guide and you will enjoy a great meal in this fantastic environment.
Tree House Village
You will have breakfast as the sun rises above the hills surrounding you. After your morning meal, follow your guide and visit the local village school. This is the only one of its kind in the area; which means some children come from far away in order to attend and must stay at the school as the daily walk home would be to long. After our school visit, it will be time to board a vehicle and take a short 25-minute drive to the cycling start area. From this location, we will start biking on small countryside tracks and small local roads. We will cross farming communities and encounter folks going about their day, tiny villages, fruit orchards, and rice fields. The end of our bike tour will be the Sri Lanna National Park where we will take time for lunch. Next, we will board kayaks and begin paddling across the beautiful and serene park lake; after approximately 1.5 hour of paddling we will reach our accommodation; the floating house boats. Once aboard, you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon, relax and even go for refreshing swim in the lake. Dinner will be enjoyed at the water’s edge.
Note: The Mae Mae Shan school visit is possible during the regular term only
Rise up early and witness the cool morning as it rises above the lake. After your breakfast, the morning will be yours to enjoy; you can board a kayak and visit the area if you wish. At 11:30, we will begin paddling back to the shore and reach the office of Sri Lanna National Park. We will disembark the kayaks and grab lunch. After our meal, we will board the awaiting transportation and head to the stunning Banden Temple, which is beautifully located amidst hills. After our visit, we will start the drive back to Chiang Mai where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.

What to wear
• Wear light clothes as biking and trekking in this climate can be hot and sweaty work. Shorts, T shirt and a sun hat are ideal.

• In the wet season from May to October bring a rain coat and a dry change of clothes. Rain is possible at any time of the year so it will probably best to be safe and pack a lightweight rain coat even in the dry season.
